New Harvest New Season

1 Comment 25 January 2010

In these times of economic upheaval, recession, talk of a depression, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead, we often sit back and wonder why we have come up short in many areas of our lives. The tendency is to blame everybody else from family and friends, to jobs and the loan officer, the church, and even the devil himself.  Somehow though, we are always too close to the mirror to recognize the attributing factors to our problems.

A farmer knows that you can over harvest or over use soil, resulting in poor crop growth, our spiritual and natural lives can be the same way!  You cannot harvest the same land and expect the same output from tired, tested and nutrient deficient soil.  We as believers have become scared to move into new pastures God has already prepared for us. You will not be able to move into richer soil until you have proven that you can take the demands of richer soil. The great thing is God has given us the tools necessary to move on, we just cannot be afraid.

It is great to have ambition to move into richer soil and God commends that.  However, we must first understand that with any new season a level of spiritual maturity has  to be mastered before moving forward. With each new season the soil becomes more rich and with that the demands are for you to grow bigger, faster, stronger and more appealing. Your roots will be deeper, you will be fed heartier food and you will be able to share your growth with more people.

Let it be known that prosperity in God takes more than doing. It is not all about the money, houses and cars; as the world will tell us. It is about prospering in the things of God. We need to take inventory of our lives and see the areas we are lacking and fix them.  Let us step into this new season with a heart for God, not for the material. When your chasing after God all those other things will fall into place.

For those of you reaping your harvest, remember who blessed you and where the blessings have come from. And for those entering into a new season from drought or harvest, use the past experiences as building blocks for what God is going to show and reveal to you.

Let us not be afraid to step into greener pastures in 2010!

This is a awesome message for the newly converted christians and those that have been seasoned already. We let pride and self get in the way of spiritual growth. We must let go and let God have his perfect will be done in our lives in order to grow. At times we try to make it happen on our own and we make a mess of it because we are not in the will of God. If we walk by faith and not by sight, walk in obedience. And listen to the voice of God we can move out of the rocky soil onto the rich soil and reap the bountiful blessings He has promised us. Wonderful story Corey. I’m proud of you and I pray that God will bless you and this website as you continue to encourage people and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.
